Media

For the past week in Media, we have been editing like crazy. We learnt how to add some special effects in which was really important and interesting at the same time as many people around the world use Final Cut Pro to make their films. This was pretty cool. So far in class I was still importing and ordering the scenes in final cut. But as I brought a laptop home. I have put all the footage together, all I need to do is to add special effects and then sound. Therefore I am on track to complete my film for next Friday. Hopefully. But then I also need to complete my EDL. But that will have to be after effects because effects makes it last longer. However as I am borrowing a laptop over the long weekend, this should help. Therefore I am doing well so far and am on track.

Media

Over the weekend I had a big problem with our media arts film. I had made the stupidest mistake on the planet. Well, with that new footage that we filmed. Well I brought it home and plugged it into my computer to transfer. I then plugged my hard drive and other usb's in. I then made folders in each of them for the new footage so I wouldn't loose it. So therefore I was preparing 5 backups. But then I accidentally forgot I didn't transfer it so then I thought I transferred it already after about 15 mins of sorting out. So I unplugged the camera. I then organised my usb's and computer and hard drives. I then realised I had to delete the footage off the camera so I plugged it back in and deleted the footage. I didn't realised what I did until 5mins ago. Now we will able to go back to school and check the camera and see whether I actually deleted it. otherwise we will have to re-film it all again on monaday afternoon. Therefore it wasn't a good weekend for me or our group.

Media

This week we have been practicing on importing a piece of footage from a movie into Final Cut Pro with a students (us) piece of footage so we can do it properly with our own. This week, my group and I also finished re-filming our shots that we needed to be re-shot as they weren't as good as what we needed them to be. We re-shot the punch scene, an interview scene, the interrogator walking out, and the murder scene. Therefore it was a pretty good week.
